A startup competition focused on building bridges between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, through sustainability-oriented business. The core objective of the 929 Challenge is to catalyze startup ideas that forge impactful connections between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
Teams will participate in a 2-week online bootcamp from 7pm to 9pm (GMT +*8) to get insights on the business opportunities between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
Teams will submit a pitch deck that promotes sustainability and cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
Mentors will provide guidance and feedback to the Teams. After submitting the pitch decks, the best projects will be shortlisted for the finals according to the scores from judges.
The 3 winning teams will receive a total of $30,000 USD in monetary prizes and $4,000 USD prize in-kind services from Alibaba cloud services.

The 929 competition is a two-week intensive program that will turn fresh ideas into high-potential business through a set of bootcamps. Teams will define, validate and develop a sustainable business model under the Lean Startup methodology.
The bootcamp program will be delivered online and provide a dynamic environment, networking opportunities, and knowledge work flow. The bootcamp includes talks and mentoring sessions designed to support the different stages of your business idea.
